Native Silver is a Broken Hill classic and this very fine example is from Browne’s shaft at Junction mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia. Richly coating a greenish-yellow creamy Calcite matrix are a small mass of knarled and tangled Native Silver wires, some to about .05 cm long and many probably longer if not contorted and intergrown.  Most of the crystals are oxidised to a matt black tarnish.
